Whelp, I have some big news! My good friend Rayanne has been running a mobile romance book truck for the last year, and she’s done so well that it’s time to open a brick and mortar. And that’s where I come in! I’m going into business with her to bring Good Girl Books THE STORE to Knoxville!
I’m shocked and thrilled and can’t wait to wear my IU sweats to the gym on Monday and make all the Tennessee fans eat it. All those old men last year saying Indiana was soft … BIG TEN CHAMPS BAYBEEEEE! KNOCKED OFF THE #1 TEAM!

How much sex there is or when it starts or how specifically it’s described or how it intersects with talking about feelings isn’t what makes a story romance or something else. Genre romance is central romantic plot + happily ever after (or happy for now). Aside from that, go … nuts.

Took our store’s pink book truck in the neighborhood Christmas parade, and my fuzzy daughter walked with us. She was in her element, getting pets from children!

Today I learned Frank Gehry didn’t become famous as an architect until he was in his sixties so many we can all just chill the fuck out on the 30 under 30 lists?

The "R" word is a revived slur for the newly shameless.
My pitch for not using it ever.
A quick and dirty thread: 🧵
My uncle Kevin Hanley suffered a brain injury at birth in ‘46. Doctors told my grandmother to send him away and forget about her “mentally retarded” infant. She refused - Kev went on to HS, Special Olympics, worked at Stop & Shop in Quincy, lived independently. He was the light of our family.

My fella’s old band had 25 million streams on Spotify this year, which should translate to everyone in our house sleeping on a pile of ermine coats, but what it really translates to makes no discernible material difference in anyone’s lives. That’s how I feel about Spotify wrapped.

If nothing else, this put the fear of god into Republicans eager to gerrymander every district to a razor thin margin.
Fucjin R+22 to R+5.6? In an off year election?? In a district gerrymandered to fuck to keep it republican?? Fuck yeah, TN07, y'all done good. Swinging a district like that 16 points is hard goddamned work so y'all go have something to eat and get some rest.

For that matter, do not ask us (a bookstore) to price match Target. We will have a very very hard time being respectful as we tell you no, we do not.
PSA: please please please do not use independent retailers as “amazon showrooms” this holiday season. we see you and it’s disheartening AF
