Since everyone's talking about it, I don't think Morgan Geyser of so-called "Slenderman stabbing" fame who just made news for cutting his (he came out as a trans man) ankle bracelet and fleeing a group home, is a monster or even a "bad" person. This is not a hot take. The jury ruled him not guilty.

I don't mind being called USian. I get why. In my work I've been trying to minimize the use of "Americans" as a term when I can, instead saying "people in the US".
It's a little thing, but I don't think it matters much.

I've been trying to explain this emotion to my therapist and even myself. How building community among severely marginalized Disabled Queer folks is agonizing at times because it's the unsupported supporting each other, victims of a sunk ship clinging to each other like a human life raft...
