I wouldn’t normally update so soon but those five tiny stitches in the bottom left corner represent THE BOTTOM of this project! I’m so close to being done.

Weird how many racists like to self-identify themselves as racists.

I love DBZ so much. It’s such a bold move to kill off your hero in episode 5.

Dems: Mamdani is too radical for our taste. Plus someone said he's antisemitic. And that name is scary to us! We need to keep him out.

Dems, 1 week later: Look lots of people have tattoos like that

Dems, 2 weeks later: Marjorie Taylor Greene, welcome to the Tent

Do we think Vegeta has a complex about how neither of his kids were born with a tail?

This is also my fault because Shea Whigham will always be Eli, Michael Shannon will always be Van Alden, etc etc.
I fear this show will have the same problem (for me) that Boardwalk Empire had—too many white guys who all kinda look enough alike and I can’t remember any of their character names.

I am enjoying it. But I don’t expect to be learned about the topic once I finish it.

who could have foreseen this?

oh wait, right right right, just literally everyone who understands how corporations in this country work 🙃
KARL: Tariffs have been removed from some food items. How soon do we expect prices on those goods will go down?

HASSETT: The prices for those goods weren't necessarily going up just because of tariffs

KARL: So they might not go down?

Today we are partaking in the time honored tradition of trying to plan out our meals for the week. We (I) will inevitably end up making the same few things we make every week.

Currently on the sibling chat we’re discussing the Taco Bell Baja Blast pie, which we’re now calling the Chernobyl Cream Pie. My younger sister—who does not live with us—is trying to talk us out of it. While also asking if there is a way I can have one shipped to her.

I just looked online for a specific set of spoons that I bought when Tom and I were first married. I found the same set and now they are referred to as “vintage.”

I’m going to start calling our marriage “vintage.”

Y'all. Folks who study such things know this is competitive authoritarianism. They know this is fascism. They know we are dancing on the knife edge of civil war.

If it isn't yet impacting you? mazel tov. Maybe pay attention to your broader community.

Don't let the waves of "normal" deceive you.

Beyond all this, Monica Lewinski has turned the shitstorm that comes with being a public relations punching bag for the world's most powerful man into a platform from which she has supported and uplifted countless other women.

Monica Lewinski is a hero, and everyone needs to get off her lawn.
Monica Lewinski went through Hell because of Bill Clinton and she was 21 when she started working for him.

Please leave that poor woman be in all the funning. She was destroyed by the public and he kept on keeping on as the president.

One thing I am enjoying about rewatching TNG (I have only seen S1-3 before) is that I have a new appreciation for Pulaski. I didn’t give her a chance the first time around, and I really enjoyed her this time. I’ll miss her in S3 and beyond.

It’s useful for people of my generation to be reminded that this wasn’t that long ago. Ruby Bridges isn’t just still alive—she’s only 71, not ancient!
65 years ago on Nov. 14, little Ruby Bridges was escorted into an all-white elementary school in New Orleans. Norman Rockwell, renowned for blissful depictions of Americana, did this remarkable painting for Look magazine. Printed as a double page, over-size spread, it's his masterpiece.

Are there any YA book series that are a bit sci-fi fantasy and also contain no deaths? I’m taking the kid to the library today and trying to avoid books with deaths (his request, not mine).
