I had the opportunity to see Klute in theaters earlier this year @ifccenter.bsky.social and its now an all time favorite. Go watch it it you haven’t!! And read this excellent piece of criticism.
Klute is leaving the Criterion Channel at the end of the month, and you should watch it, and then maybe read this. if you feel like it, no pressure.

Where do I even begin? Guillermo del Toro @realgdt.bsky.social has created an absolute masterpiece. I only wish I’d had the chance to experience it on the big screen. The story of Frankenstein has been told countless times, but never like this.

I voted for Zohran in the primary and then last week. Last year after Trump won I was feeling despair at what was to follow, and of course now the things we’ve lived through. But then I saw a video of a nice young man on the streets, trying to make things right. Let’s bring it home.

I voted for Zohran in the primary and then last week. Last year after Trump won I was feeling despair at what was to follow, and of course now the things we’ve lived through. But then I saw a video of a nice young man on the streets, trying to make things right. Let’s bring it home.

With adventure games specifically, the idea that adventure games are a "dead genre" is almost baked into the received narrative about adventure games to the point of distracting people from the fact that more adventure games are coming out now than ever were in the 90s
Been seeing an interesting thing on social media with both fighting games and adventure games, where people who haven’t played them since the 90s will say “I wish they still made X genre” or “there aren’t any indie games in X genre”, when they’re more active than they’ve ever been

Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same
