This is a damn important thing to remember. It’s all well & good to avoid Black Friday from a place of comfort, or a place of ethics, which I applaud, but for folks taking advantage of sales to get things they need? No shame, only solidarity in working for better wages & quality of living for all.
It's such a grim thing that I and many other people have only ever used Black Friday as not a gift-buying time, but a time to get necessities that are only affordable once a year.

I always recommend a sun therapy lamp (a "happy light" that combats SAD). Verilux makes some good ones.
The next few months are hard on people with depression, myself included. It always helps me to remind myself there’s a lot of beauty and goodness in the world. Take your vitamin D and get outside when you can.
