Greg Bovino got his start in the police department of Boone, NC, a small town not far from us. There are men like him in every police department, and they kill 1,000+ people a year. They're never held accountable.

Abolishing ICE is necessary but insufficient. #AbolishThePolice
Bovino shamelessly lies: "This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement"

Per this report ICE has detained several witnesses
ICE attempted to order local police from the scene of the Minneapolis shooting, but the police chief refused and instructed his officers to preserve the crime scene.

ICE just shot another one of my neighbors. They had the person on the ground, being beaten by several agents, and then fired multiple shots. In front of the donut shop where we like to get donuts for our kids.

An independent autopsy of Renee Good reveals that she had 3 gunshot wounds: to the left arm, right lung, and left temple that exited the right side of her head. That means the third shot, the most unlawful one, from the side, likely killed her. abc7.com/post/minneap...

Tbf to the UK electorate we are seeing some early signs of people pretty rapidly adapting to our new reality and strategically voting wisely to keep Reform out. (Also saw this in Welsh election for instance.) This, combined with the sense that Reform really do seem to have plateaued, gives me hope.

Please consider giving. Dr. King is so mis-taught in so many schools. Any donation to Zinn Education Project helps us change this.
Don't let the right weaponize Dr. Martin Luther King in their efforts to discredit contemporary protests.

For this King holiday, help us send "King of the North: Martin Luther King Jr.’s Life of Struggle Outside the South" by Jeanne Theoharis to schools. ⬇️

My take on the Jan 23 action in Minneapolis is that I don’t really care whether it’s a “true” general strike (we could argue about that all day).

What DOES matter is that it’s a bold and necessary escalation, and local labor leaders are publicly encouraging workers to join in anti-ICE resistance
