Even taking this at face value, "refusing to take sides" on anti-Semitic conspiracy theories is taking a side.
This is NYT headline morning after JD’s grotesque hot blast of white supremacist nativism at Turning Point’s hate-fest?!

I've said for years that we'd reach a post-GWOT tipping point on public view of the DoD, but I never envisioned it coming like this.
Like I've said before there's a small gaggle of FGOs who get it, but the GOFOs are completely out to lunch and sleepwalking the institution into a world where DoD regularly pulls sub 50% positivity ratings regardless of who's in the WH, and hoo boy is the institution not going to like that world

There’s been an outpouring of grief and tributes following the death of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, who were killed in their Los Angeles home on Sunday. Yo La Tengo joined those honoring the actor-director on Monday during their annual Hanukkah shows.

Flipping through my copy of Dogs in the Vineyard: this is the most un-fucking game ever. Did Baker learn something new in the next six years?
ttrpg design evolution has been weird, it's like 40 years of calculating armour values with logarithmic equations, and then in 2010 vincent baker gave everyone permission to fuck

And let’s be clear who did this, since so many people think Dems do nothing for the LGBTQ community (and apparently refuse to vote for them or harm reduction) even tho Dems are how we got our rights:

“…congressional Democrats worked to remove anti-trans components of the defense spending bill”
But it's not all bad news: We've got a late-breaking Sunday evening story (courtesy of @erininthemorning.com) on the big military spending bill in congress.

I lasted 21 seconds before noping out.
Okay, I think I figured out how to turn the audio sample into a video that can be uploaded to Bluesky. Here are the first 3 minutes.

Not sure what this says about the economy or the national mood, but it ain't good.
Red alert, boys. WSJ says it’s time to start dressing like Steve Zissou.

Don't tell me that Jeffries lacks riz.
Jeffries: I think Rick Scott has some history with medicaid fraud in the state of Florida. So he's no expert on health care. We ain't going to be lectured by Rick Scott about anything, but certainly not affordable health care.

This is someone with a huge blindspot around queer narratives.
I’m a Gen X parent, but it’s not super flattering to Gen X parents as a cohort that “found family” is now its own movie genre.

WAPO: Are we judging MBS too harshly for aggressive leadership? Is Woke still with us?
Given the recent Wapo opeds I've read I'm genuinely surprised they haven't said the MBS did the right thing by having Khashoggi killed.

Seriously, what a-hole spends $268 for these, just to underwhelm your colleagues at a single Christmas party?

I hate the term "late stage capitalism," but maybe this is what it looks like.

This the problem. Misogyny being framed as the problem of the women.
Personally, I think the idea that all women should be measured by the failures of Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris is actually a sort of sexist doomerism.

But if it involves Trump gargling Bill's knob, I'm fine with erasing that Men In Black flashy pen style.

Ironically, he did inhale it.
Although many people are saying it, I do not believe our current president sucked off former president Bill Clinton on camera. I have not seen sufficient evidence that our current president gave the former president a blowie in a way that was memorialized in a photo. That's not something I believe.

If you reduce the whole shutdown and all its issues to flights, you are not a serious person.
the minute flights got canceled, Dems folded like a house of cards, leaving me to wonder why the fuck this post made some of you so angry
not enough chatter about how frequently members fly and how attacking airport capacity directly affects them in a way that cutting SNAP does not

Yes, it's now very much on record who did this bad thing.
I mean this is why I don’t think Republicans won this either

congrats, you got them to cave very specifically on higher health care premiums, have fun explaining that next fall
