I am completely overwhelmed at the harsh dissonance of U.S. politics violently collapsing before our very eyes--day-by-day,--while capitalism demands that we 'keep going,' as if NONE of it is happening, because bills are still due.
The wake-up call is how little autonomy we have in all of this.

Aye.

Y’all need to stop infantilizing racists.

No, they weren’t hoodwinked, bamboozled or led astray.

They are grown as people making decisions to harm everyone they don’t like.

Perpetual systemic inequality isn’t magic. You don’t accidentally stumble into oppressing.

You choose it.

Rand Paul has introduced a National Right to Work Act.

The bill is an attack on organized labor and workers across the country.

It would make it harder for workers to unionize, win good contracts, and maintain their unions.

I look at my “problems” and I can find dozens of solutions that involve taking advantage of others or being dishonest, but I cannot act on these. Does this make me stupid?

In an individualistic society, yes.

It makes sense when you realize that the laws being written in state legislatures is going to harm people.

The system is deeply corrupt. That doesn’t mean checking out completely.

Many communities don’t have the ability to check out. We must build community AND pay attention to local politics.
This doesn’t make sense. The complicity runs deep. Liberals don’t want to admit the “American experiment of wiping out entire peoples, enslaving countless other for the benefit of the owning class who also control access to power” is over.

If your system reaches fascism it failed. Take the L.
We must focus on state governments.

Know your state representatives, Attorney General, Secretary of State, state supreme courts.

Know them. Call them. Get educated on what bills are being passed.

As others have said, the greatest transfer of wealth in US history will not be from the Boomers to their children but from them to the US healthcare system. The US is designed to make people insolvent and to keep them poor once they're there.

The fact that a dancer who displayed a flag (gasp!) was being considered for criminal charges while all of these goons robbing our government are celebrated by Congressmen is why we say the law is just a weapon to punish and preserve a hierarchy. It’s not to protect.

NEW: A Harris campaign organizer says senior officials ordered them to erase voters who asked about Gaza—marking emails as “no response” so they’d be removed from outreach. No engagement, no persuasion, just ignored. “The only clowns are the ones who decided to abdicate on this.”

The most surreal and maddening feature of the campaign was that everyone agreed that high prices were the main issue but the guy explicitly, consistently running on a platform of raising everyone’s prices won voters most concerned about high prices.

We hammered this time and time again and yet.
