70 years ago, Rosa Parks’ refusal to move on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama sparked a movement that proved progress is never won without struggle.

To honor her, we cannot accept cynicism or the status quo.

That movement for justice still continues.

No Democrat has won a statewide election in Texas in nearly 36 years, but the idea of Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett running for Senate would mean Democrats are “cooked”?

What the hell have they been?

People need to check themselves on how they talk about Black women.

U.S. online Black Friday spending hit a record $11.8 billion, rising 9.1% from last year.

But even with more money spent, consumers bought fewer items.

Story of the 2020s: spending more while getting less.

We are supposed to look out for our neighbors, not hate them.

This country has never been perfect, nor will it be perfect any time soon, but it’s up to us to strive for better.

Wisconsin does not have fair maps, but there is good news! The WI Supreme Court ruled this week that lawsuits challenging the maps can go forward.

In a purple state, there are 6 GOP seats and only 2 Dem seats.

Partisan gerrymandering is wrong, it robs people of their voice.

Something on the partisan gerrymandering race that everyone should read.

Democrats’ Gerrymandering Flip-Flop Erodes Their Credibility
For years, the Democratic Party framed gerrymandering as a fundamental threat to democracy. In response to continued GOP gerrymandering, Democrats are changing their tune — a shift likely to further e...

When Mayor-Elect Mamdani won his primary in June, the discussion in the Democratic Party was about how a progressive economic agenda was energizing the base and bringing new working class voters into the coalition.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Despite valley moments, we have much to be thankful for. The mountain is in view.

Be a light for someone's dark path. 🙏🏾

I praised Mayor-Elect Mamdani for his meeting with President Trump to deliver for his constituents.

I want to praise Mayor Wu, too.

This is what coalition politics looks like, difference of opinion and public discussion. 1/2

Mayor-elect Mamdani is an incredible campaigner and I hope his vision to provide provision for New Yorkers passes city council and gets support in Albany.

That said, endorsing Representative Jeffries to be the next Speaker of the House does nothing to help that. 1/4

Something that must change in Democratic politics is the belief that democracy is “drama.”

Primaries and challenging leadership aren’t “drama,” it’s democracy.

Hesitation to participate in democracy only leads to an erosion of it.

Reminder: the mega-donor class wants to see progressive legislation fail.

Those politicians working on the behalf of the mega-donors are in positions to ensure progressive legislation fails.

In politics, relationships matter, but no relationship will come between corruption.

The movement that will deliver progress for all Americans will be born out of the fight for Black liberation.

It will not come from anywhere else.

The systems that hold all working class Americans back are rooted in anti-Blackness.

11 years ago today, 12 year old Tamir Rice was gunned down by police officers on Cleveland’s west side.

The officer shot him within seconds of arriving at the park he was playing in.

Tamir’s life mattered. It still does. My thoughts are with his family today.

Mamdani meeting with Trump is simply good governance on behalf of the people of NYC.

When you believe in your ideas, you tell everyone and you go everywhere.

There’s a difference between campaigning and governing and “Trump bad” isn’t a viable governance plan.

The Mamdani - Trump meeting showed just how weak Democratic leadership is.

Both Representative Jeffries and Senator Schumer need to be replaced.
November 22, 2025 at 7:36 PM
Every liberal democratic voter should see the way the Mamdani and Trump spoke and how Mamdani, never having to compromise his positions, was able to get Trump to agree with him.

Thats what left-wing populism can do and it’s the direction the Democratic Party must go.

When the GOP calls every social safety net measure “socialism,” votes like this matter in a policy context.

House Minority Leader Jeffries voting with the GOP in favor of this resolution is showing his ultra-wealthy donors exactly who he fights for.

It’s not the people.

However, the arguments against DEI are rooted in anti-Blackness and that needs to be called out.

That’s why it’s so important to stand against the erosion of DEI, it’s a stand against anti-Blackness.
