Mayor-elect Mamdani is an incredible campaigner and I hope his vision to provide provision for New Yorkers passes city council and gets support in Albany.

That said, endorsing Representative Jeffries to be the next Speaker of the House does nothing to help that. 1/4

Mamdani meeting with Trump is simply good governance on behalf of the people of NYC.

When you believe in your ideas, you tell everyone and you go everywhere.

There’s a difference between campaigning and governing and “Trump bad” isn’t a viable governance plan.

The Mamdani - Trump meeting showed just how weak Democratic leadership is.

Both Representative Jeffries and Senator Schumer need to be replaced.

We saw this week in Indiana that the way to fight partisan gerrymandering is to organize the people impacted.

That’s what fighters do.

I’m 100% against partisan gerrymandering in all instances.

It’s undemocratic, it goes against the mission of protecting democracy.

Working class Americans from all backgrounds are sick and tired of spineless politicians playing the blame game for inaction.

That goes for Democrats *and* Republicans.

People can’t afford things and it’s only going to get worse.

Democrats need a vision that centers the people. It’s why @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is going to be the next mayor of New York City.

Any leader in the Democratic Party standing in the way of progress needs to go.

I am extremely proud to support my good friend Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney, Vice Mayor of Cincinnati, for re-election on Nov. 4th.
