£25,000 is not a massive salary for working in Bath, one of the most expensive cities in the Southwest UK, but I've certainly seen worse!

A cute anecdote from this interview is Christie, the archaeologist, being surprised and delighted that Carved in Stone's artists would voraciously read all of her material -- not because it helped their assigned pieces, but because they were genuinely fascinated.
