Seeing all the creativity coming out of these markets cemented something I’ve been feeling for a while. The “pitch to a publisher” pipeline as the norm really stifles game design. There’s so much creativity out there, it just needed an outlet.

lmao nearly every major tabletop platform or website hosts on Cloudflare, which is currently shitting the metaphorical bed.

Kickstarter, Backerkit, and Gamefound. But also itch, Roll20, DTRPG. Effectively the whole online RPG market is offline.

I have been in Europe for almost a month and am now at DAU Barcelona for Devir's 25th anniversary. I have had the great good fortune to hang out with many board gamers and designers on this trip.

And I have heard from them over and over that they are scared to visit the US right now.
