I tried to explain this to people the other day - a rainbow flag to me as a gay man means, “LGBTQA+ people are welcome and safe here”. No more. No less. And removing them means, “You are not welcome or safe here”. No more. No less.
stories like this piss me off for multiple reasons

- stop participating in the erosion of rights of our fellow americans
- this is not the maryland way
- bitch youre in maryland, one of the bluest states, stop being such a reactionary wingnut

COVID isn’t acting like the viruses most of us grew up with, and treating it like “just a cold” is putting people at real risk. David Brasure breaks down why SARS-CoV-2 is fundamentally different, how it causes long-term damage, and what we can do to protect ourselves.

maybe we shouldn’t even say mutual aid and just start saying this isn’t anything special—this is community.

this is actually what being in community means. helping each other, realizing our fates are intertwined.

we are building community while the bad guys are trying to tear it down.

Everytime I advertise a product being accessible to disabled people. I lose sales because able-bodied people feel like it isn't for them as well.

My products are for anyone that likes or wants them. You don't need to view yourself as disabled to want them too.

Great news! My hospital/clinic system is doing universal masking again!

Sure, it would be great if they were masking the whole time but whatever, take this as a reminder you can start masking again too!

Egg producers suspect bird flu is traveling through the air.

After a disastrous Midwestern outbreak early this year, we tested that theory and found that where the wind blew, the virus followed.

Vaccines could help, but the USDA hasn’t approved them.

we genuinely need more research on this. bc covid infections cause brain fog which can result in exactly this BUT ALSO 2020 was a traumatic year and the virus causing all the trauma never went away nor became more mild so there’s for sure unprocessed trauma in over 50% of the population
Can't remember if it was this bad before COVID but I'm seeing an alarming spreading of what I'll call Airport Behavior to other public places. Obliviousness to other people's existence, ineptitude at navigating the environment. "Is this your first time at the grocery store" type stuff

Random thought, but men who use the term "friend zone" like some kind of punishment sound entitled. Women don’t owe you romance - and honestly, if having a female friend disappoints you that much, why would we want anything more?

Can anyone share the article that states that almost 50 percent of Covid infections are asymptomatic? I am having a rough go of it with my family. I need something to point to as evidence of my sanity as a masking human. Thanks for your help.

I can’t even get anyone to admit or remember that asymptomatic Covid is a thing.
The fact that asymptomatic Covid cases can lead to Long Covid IMO probably leads to more people attributing illness to vaccine complications than what could actually occurring, when the underlying problem could be a Covid infection.

Given that a significant percentage of infectious covid cases are asymptomatic, a more effective policy is to just require (or at least strongly recommend) masking! You can't really know who's sick and who isn't by symptoms or self reports alone. health.clevelandclinic.org/asymptomatic...

Oh I see Zickgraf wrote the “Covid conscious people are crazy” article he’s been threatening. Happy Thanksgiving Ryan, this year thanks to long Covid-caused MCAS, my Thanksgiving feast will be a plain baked sweet potato. Hope yours is tinged with the seasoning of being a horrible person.
I don’t know, I thought after Long Covid effectively ended my chance at a directing career, ruined my health, my energy, my ability to eat a lot of foods, and my body, it would seem pretty obvious why I don’t want to get it again, even going so far as to sacrifice (the horror!) bars and restaurants.
