Baltimore transplant, perpetually curious and often armed with stickers.
I like radioactive glass, books, pigeons, street art, and found items. I dislike mosquitoes, getting stuck behind slow walkers, pears, sun in my eyes, and fascism.

Hey, so, OB-GYN shortages are bad for women.

This is exactly what happens when you put moronic, anti-science men in charge of women’s health.
Dr Oz: "Alabama has no OBGYNs in many of their counties, so they're doing something pretty cool. They're actually having robots do ultrasounds on these pregnant moms."

This disabled person was able to communicate her needs to ICE and they didn't give a fuck.

Now imagine being Deaf and unable to hear or communicate while being taken hostage by ICE?

Not all disabilities are visible
Aliya Rahman told ICE she was disabled

She told them she was on her way to a doctor appt

They broke her window, cut her seatbelt & dragged her away like an animal

She was headed to the Traumatic Brain Injury Center when they grabbed her.

She was denied access to a doctor & tossed in detention

TIL Maria Corina Machado is the second person to give away their Nobel prize

The first person to do it, Knut Hamsun, gave his Nobel Prize to Joseph Goebbels in 1943

Incredible investigative journalism care. She applied, used her real name and information. Has been openly critical of ice online, smoked weed a few days before the blood test and was still accepted. Makes you wonder about the lack of vetting in this agency. Scary.

Yup. This is true, all bruises are "internal bleeding". You can also be fancy and call them "contusions."

I've got (looks at legs), three right now. You've probably got some.
Yep. Science journalist here. When your kid falls down and bruises their knee, that’s internal bleeding. Capillaries are damaged and some blood gets dumped into surrounding tissues. That’s what causes the blue/purple color. When it’s serious they keep you in the hospital.
health care lawyer here:

CBS 'news' reports that: "Jonathan Ross, suffered internal bleeding to the torso following the incident..."

Here's the thing, that can mean 'a bruise' — it just sounds much more dramatic to call it "internal bleeding to the torso"

This is of course very bad.

And I feel like not enough of you know that having a disability has been grounds for denying visa processing since the late 19th century due to supposed risk of needing public assistance.
WASHINGTON (AP) — US will suspend immigrant visa processing from 75 countries whose nationals are deemed likely to need public assistance.

ICE is what happens when little boys grow up only playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and don't balance it out with silly little games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Not a drop of whimsy to be found in these broken men.

One thing I think a lot about is how women interact with each other.
We're conditioned to view each other as rivals and competition. Example?
Boyfriend cheated? Get mad at the other woman not the boyfriend.
