If we're having a debate, and at any point you say, "let's ask ChatGPT", then you lose by default.
Its so bizarre to hear a commercial mention "self-care" and its just for a white girl bath product or shopping in general.
The inclusion of non-black people in Black marginalizing is generally how our terms (and thus the writing originally relevant to those terms) gets forgotten, warped, or coopted altogether for capitalist means.
Just as Audre Lorde created the term "self-care" for her specific experience as a Black queer woman navigating cancer care, the terms "women of color" and "people of color" were created at in 1977 by Black women organizing at a women's conference, to better communicate their experiences.

Welfare in the US began in 1935 in response to the Depression.

White families were given more aid than Black families, if the Black family got aid at all.

Historically, there have been more white people on welfare than anyone.

And soon, many who pushed for others to have less won’t have any.

The way celebrities behaved during the midst of crises from 2020 onwards let me know how much we continue to undervalue the attention economy, especially Black consumership etc. I kept those screenshots to remember how the worst of public figures tried to santize themselves admist mass Black death
I was deleting a bunch of old screenshots from 2020 and I found this haunted bit. Diddy will be holding meditation sessions in hell

The AWS outage exposes again that “the cloud” isn’t magic, it’s infrastructure. The issue isn’t a cyberattack, it’s architectural over-reliance on a handful of cloud giants. We centralized the internet and then made our entire lives dependent on it.

I think I understand the many reasons why people believe it's not worth it to phase out fossil fuels, but I also feel exhausted and vaguely insane living my life knowing that while the world seems normal on the surface, the fossil-fuel economy is, right now, breaking the world forever.
White joy requires subjugation. From the laughing families picnicing by the lynching tree to white colonizers throwing festivals on stolen land.

Black & Indigenous joy is a preservant of the spirit. Anything to lower the stress hormone and elongate your life. A few extra days, just from joy.
Like yeah joy is resistance and yada yada but prioritizing feel good emotions in the face of the collapse of the human contract is literally how we got here. We were laughing when shit was getting serious and now shit ain’t funny no more. Yes, find your joy, but like within reason.
We had an eviction moratorium, trials of universal income, free testing & vaccines, and free public transit in major cities. Its sickening to know we had an opportunity for potential socialism during the start of the pandemic but people wanted to socialize more than they wanted to resist capitalism.
The pandemic was the litmus test. It was pass/fail, thus we all failed. That was the easiest way to determine the potential resistance to a fascist wave. Our society will get worse, and our govt already knows you'll do very little to stop it.
The majority of Americans got the grrenlight to be selfish when we rushed to end covid 19 pandemic protections and eliminate protocols to protect our disabled, elderly, and homeless neighbors.

Most people are incapable of revolutionary sacrifice let alone willing to be considerate of strangers.
We gotta do a nationwide inquest into antisocial behavior. Leaving your dog's poop on the street. Not returning shopping carts. The What's Wrong With You initiative
people playing music/videos on their phone speakers in public is more than just mildly annoying and is instead a leading indicator of the decline of community and empath

Here is my hot take on "No Kings":

White Americans are very peer pressure coded and comfort coded: They're not going to risk discomfort to go against the crowd. White Americans will know XYZ is wrong but do it anyway so they won't be outcasts.

Who robbed the Louvre? Right answers only
I can't help thinking of this as I see these white clowns march today for No Kings, for little to no material or political change. Black and Indigenous liberated earth lasted 40,000 + years. A white supremacist planet lasted about 550 years. We wont make it to 700.
I grieve for people I've lost, but also for the earth. We have surpassed several "points of no return" in regards to this climate crisis. The white western world's unscrupulous hoarding and consumption of raw materials and unrelenting pollution is driving us towards extinction. Truly devastating.
