My pet peeve with horror or thriller shows is how loud someone breathes or screams while running from a killer. I want to see a real runner with the will to live, these shows are too predictable

Across the gun forums I'm in, men are being denied permits and licenses for firearms due to police reports for DV or intimate violence. The police do so little to protect survivors but a report can and does prevent men from legally buying firearms.

This. Past generations of women had to tolerate men to have access to most financial instruments and not face social alienation. We are witnessing the first generations of women who are applauded even for their choice to remain unpartnered. I wish the elder women in my family had this freedom.
I'm starting to wonder how much "the male loneliness epidemic" is just straight and bisexual women identifying low-effort, mean, and incompetent men and choosing not to date, marry, and tolerate them anymore

I have issue with the framing of this title - schools have been failing girls since its inception in this country. Abuse, assault, and paedophilia primarily impact young girls in educational environments. Girls and women thrive more when they don't have to do schooling with boys. Simple.

The only reason I'd ever want to be a politician is to create bills or laws to stop cross racial adoption of Black children by nonblack parents. I'm so tired of the news revealing that yet another white foster parent has murdered a Black child.

I remember Dawning Realization Month for the NFT people too. Think this is going to take much longer because of how wrapped up the whole economy is in this, but it really feels like it's happening.
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

I've learned why there aren't more political firearms groups in certain states. Apparently, that's just a militia. It's extremely hard to join a group of people under the age of 60 and just shoot around, actually lolol turns out shooting ranges are mandated to report that type of thing

I just found out that a group of Black diasporic restaurants across Brooklyn prepare food on Thanksgiving for the children of incarcerated parents in nyc. This is one of the more heartwarming initiatives I've heard of.
