i think about this in the context of spirituality all the time. so many of our foremothers had so much to teach us but it was under threat of death. they were tarrying at yt jesus' altar but they weren't talking to him. and all we saw was tarrying, so that's all we could imitate.
The same people saying they’re tired of politics (as an oppressed person), will be changing their profile photos for the month of February. It really didn’t that many generations.

Yesterday my kid nearly aced his act practice test only missing a few answers and when we went over the ones he got wrong they all had to do with standard English idioms, and he said “ngl this test is slick racist momma. Cause as a RN, you know we don’t use these turns of phrase” 😭

The way people in unhoused communities look out for one another is what real community and mutual aide should look like. I’ve been talking to some of the most generous, loving men who have been looking out for my family while he was struggling these past few years. Just amazing spirits and kindness.
