Important to stress that although case and hospitalization reporting have been watered down, death reporting hasn't changed since the start of the pandemic. All data sources — local and federal, qualitative and quantitative — indicate that mortality has fallen over time and is currently low.

Probably the single most important rule of writing is that you need to know the rules well enough to know when and why you're breaking them. Doing it by accident is almost never going to work out; doing it on purpose and with reason is the key to all great writing, imo
Essentially none of the actual best legal writing follows the cookie-cutter formula that they try to teach you to write in 🤷♂️

strangers are fighting to the death in my menchies over this pretty innocuous take and slinging devastating counterarguments like “what if I had to run away from a murderer” and “I like speeding”
one of my longstanding takes is that car manufacturers should be forced to install mandatory speed limiters in every new vehicle and people react to that like I'm advocating to strip them of their right to free speech
