"Big Tech companies, and especially Meta, seem to be anticipating this possibility and have spent the past months building relationships with far-right MEPs…”
Meta, Microsoft and Google are all coordinating with the European far right in order to dismantle EU digital laws designed to protect citizens, according to a new report.

The recent 🇺🇸NSS strategy outlined regime change plans to support the European far right.

US tech giants allying with European far-right to strip back EU rules
Amid rising EU-US tensions, a new report has accused Big Tech of courting far-right MEPs to weaken the EU's regulatory power on AI and data.

This seems like a good policy and I’m going to try to adopt it. Don’t inadvertently be part of the tech bro war on humanity by sharing stuff you don’t know within reasonable doubt to be real.
I don't reshare videos of current events from accounts of people who 1) didn't film it themselves or 2) aren't a news sources because there's frankly so much AI, and it sucks.

I met Scott at a book signing in 1992 (I was the only one there) and exchanged a few emails with him. I don't know when he took his right turn into grievance politics. I'm always a little sad when someone like Scott dies because there's always a slim chance they'll turn themselves around.

Guarantee you that Musk eventually posts a pic of himself in a Nazi uniform or with a Hitler mustache. “Ironically,” of course.
This isn't just a lie, it's pure, uncut Great Replacement Theory. Straight white supremacist propaganda. Elon is full fascist.

When I was younger, I thought police unions and FOP existed to negotiate fair salaries for police and things like that, but it turns out they mostly exist to run interference for police who kill civilians. If you think ACAB, that goes triple for FOP.
Meanwhile the Minnesota FOP literally released a statement saying "We stand arm in arm with ICE"

Local PD don't give a single fuck about regular citizens.
white people desperately trying to protect policing as they notice the rising consensus for abolishing ICE

And you can bet the “philosophy” books that men are reading are a mess.
Important question :
Do women read (significantly) more than men?

And no, it is not 'just' romance fiction.

It's funny because I've lost count of the reddit posts where angry young male writers complain about bias against male content but then also admit that they don't read books.

"I get my inspiration from video games bc reading takes too long" is a thing I've read more than once.

The morning news is sanewashing Trump’s Greenland insanity by describing it as “Trump’s proposal to take control of Greenland” rather than “plans to invade” or “go to war with” an ally.

A lot of people on the right were weeping about Ashli Babbitt yesterday. Check the killer's social media.
Absolutely horrific details about an ICE shooting in Minneapolis.

A witness says a woman was trying to drive away from an ICE operation and the ICE agent "reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times."

Bovino was there.

It’s hard to pin down the right’s concept of “person,” but it’s roughly a single cell through birth, and then a white Christian male starting when they can whoop their daddy.
Telling isn't it that all the "protect our girls" people are still on X despite what Grok is doing.

It’s particularly ironic since the “intellectual dark web” love Plato.
It's official, according to administrators at Texas A&M, Plato is no longer part of the Western canon and must be removed.
From an email to one of our faculty members....

Not even Plato can escape censorship at Texas A&M!

I know people believe that the Democrats are in the minority and can't do anything. I would encourage you to read about how, in fact, minority parties can be disruptive. If they want to be. You don't even have to read. You can just see how the Republicans acted during the Obama years.

I went through what appears to be the personal Twitter account of the late Rep Doug LaMalfa (it's mutuals with his official account and was listed in a news article as his), and I was prepared for the far-right accounts that he followed, but not the explicit porn ones.

The city comes by about once a year to knock down the beaver family's dam, and it's a little upsetting until I remind myself that they've been building dams for millions of years and will likely continue to do so long after humans are gone.

One of my pettiest complaints about LLMs is that they'll tell you that the Bradbury Building was in Double Indemnity. The Bradbury Building's atrium is open to the glass ceiling, so the office from the film wouldn't be possible.
