NYTimes projecting a net shift of 14 points from 2024 with these variations between the counties

Turnout in 2022 here was ~180k, tonight is going to come in at most marginally under (currently ~168k with a little left to count)

that's a hell of an electorate to swing this much

By the numbers:

Three weeks of talking about affordability
Thousands of prices rising
Hundreds of tariffs raised
Zero substantive policies announced
Dozens of lies that prices are coming down
One billionaire calling your concern about affordability a “con job.”

I was watching on a slight delay but as soon as I posted the comment below Scott Wapner disappeared from Fast Money Halftime Report and Mike Santolli stepped in for him.

How is Scott Wapner so close to being an excellent host and simultaneously HORRIBLE?

- He's not the impartial judge type he's portrayed as.
- He treats his biases as facts (they're often not)
- You can just tell he has a shit personality--big ego type.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

I had a popular account with a valuable audience and my Twitter payout was $80 a month-ish, to the point where I disabled monetization instead of uploading my ID. Payouts are only material if you live in a developing country, so “guy in Nigeria posting right-wing Amerislop” has taken over the site.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.
