Even if you don’t like “pornography” or think kids shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near “pornography,” consider that the people with power to legislate what that MEANS have a very different definition than you do

Any time I look to see what the Labour government is up to in the UK it turns out to be things like making posters that Alfonso Cuarón put in the background of the long tracking shot that opens “Children of Men”.

Agree and I think the answer is people who don't really care about the death squads or much else except maintaining the status quo for well off ciphers like themselves.
The obsession with going back to the way things were under Biden by some members of congress is wild to me.

Who wants to go back to being one election cycle away from masked death squads roaming our streets?

People have rightly been dunking on Ezra for "guessing" that there are no powerful people that abused girls procured by Epstein, but I haven't heard many highlight his BS reasoning. He wants you to think that our justice for hire system is rigged *against* rich people.

“I would rather you vote for what is morally correct,” Davidson said.

“Don’t talk to me about my own morality,” DeLauro shot back.

“Don’t tell your constituents what they can and can’t talk to you about,” replied Rev. Nathan Empsall. “What you are voting for is not moral.”

I hope Dems begin to see that moderate or progressive, AIPAC is not our friend.

They endorse January 6th insurrectionists. Yet if you so much as suggest the US uphold its own Leahy laws, no matter your record, they will work against you.

Every day with this scandal they'll be something I never thought possible. The story in these emails was crazy enough but I'm also shocked that we have her *reaction* to it.
In an interview with NPR, Melinda French Gates confirmed that she ended her marriage with Bill Gates because of allegations contained in the Epstein files.

I would quibble with whether you can even call this type a "liberal" anymore after everything they've compromised, but yes.
Liberals don’t want to dismantle the systems that oppress us- they want to control them
Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.

Murphy repeatedly bragged in public that "we followed Republicans' instructions to the letter" on drafting the far right immigration bill.
Chris Murphy helped draft one of the most fascist immigration bills in the history of the United States.

That he appears to be the Democrat lead on what to do about ICE is immensely disturbing.

Through a combination of non-existent civic life, pervasive propaganda, and electoral structure, the GOP will always have a coin flip chance of winning the next election, *especially* if conditions are deteriorating. We must produce a second party that will act decisively to build people power.
We literally had these assholes in office to mismanage a once in a several generations global pandemic, and most people can’t even remember who was president at the time
Sorry, but until our dipshit voters get a big, fat, stinky taste of what it's like to live under a full on right wing regime they'll never change their idiotic voting ways. It hurts and it sucks and it's inhumane, but I just don't see any other way.

Unfortunately this headline wouldn't shame any of those people (like our "opposition" leaders in Congress) because they agree with Trump on this. The UN has become inconvenient to our projects and so both parties have worked to dismantle it.
Massive hats off to everyone who dedicated their energy in the months after October 7th to attacking the UNRWA, discrediting the UN, and dismissing, sanctioning, intimidating the ICJ and ICC. Amazing work.

Schumer sucked at being in the majority too, lol
Being in the minority sucks. And people are mad there isn't an easy button to push & stop Trump.

Schumer and Jeffries could be gone and people would just be mad at their replacements. 🤷‍♂️

You'll be shocked to learn that the centrist talking points warning Democrats against impeachment and abolishing ICE are being fed by detention lobbyists working for chief genocidaire Antony Blinken's old firm.
The author of a controversial memo from centrist think tank Searchlight telling Democrats to abandon the slogan “Abolish ICE” is a senior advisor for WestExec, a D.C. shadow lobbyist for corporations in the defense, surveillance, and immigration enforcement industries.
