These are facts:
Burning a stone is not inherently "cheating".
A rock touched after it has reached the hog line at the delivering end is a burned stone.
The thrower double-touching the rock before the hog line is explicitly legal.
The rules do not contemplate the thrower touching the granite.

I also am loving the atmosphere of the arena right now. The Italian fans are going berserk and it really makes it feel like there's something special happening. I'm sure it's hard for the players, but: you want curling to be cool? This is it.
