The White House says the Kennedy Center board vote was “unanimous”…

BULLSHIT.

@repbeatty.bsky.social, a Congressional member of the board, was on the call. They muted her and didn't let her voice opposition.

This is beyond absurd, totally illegal, and a disgrace to the memory and legacy of JFK.

Lots of calls for support today, but this is one that makes a difference!
2025? Pretty bad for US science.

That just motivated us more.

In 2025 we reached people on the street, at the bar, in the classroom, at the rec center, in the park, & more

How much we accomplish next year is only limited by how much we can afford.

The National Guard deployment does not only undermine public safety.

It also hurts DC's economy — depressing vital industries like restaurants, hotels, and tourism.

And critically, it infringes on DC's sovereign authority and right to self-governance under the Home Rule Act.

Hurray! We are almost catching up our train tech to was Japan had in 1965.
Total BS news because we are NOT investing in the real issue -- tracks, tunnels, and infrastructure that is mostly from the 1800 and early 1900s AND those old tracks are shared with traffic that has the top speed of a horse.

The Administration's actions are brazenly unlawful.

They go well beyond the bounds of the President's limited authority and instead seek a hostile takeover of MPD.

They infringe on the District's right to self-governance and put the safety of DC residents and visitors at risk.
