What does “collapse in radio frequencies” even mean? A localized radio disruption based on specific frequencies? That is normally called “jamming.” Suspect they the frequencies pilots look for air traffic control weren’t operating.
Radio frequency loss grounds flights in Greece, stranding thousands
"For some reason all frequencies were suddenly lost .. We could not communicate with aircraft in the sky," the head of Greece's air-traffic controllers association told the state broadcasters.

Then look at the surface of Mars.

Then look up to the top right.

Spot Mars' moon Phobos high in the sky.

Then notice the bright spot beside Phobos.

That's Earth.

Being a pedantic topologist with your children and how many holes their socks (0) and pants (2) have makes it far more amusing than just helping them figure out what to wear.

I don't know if folks outside the PNW understand how truly massive the flooding here is right now.

This is Thomas Creek just outside Scio, OR. The creek, which is usually 7 feet deep this time of year, is currently 18 feet deep.

The plane landed, slightly ahead of schedule, just moments before the incident happened at about 11pm. The drones reached the location where Zelenskyy’s plane was expected to be at the exact moment it had been due to pass.

I don’t see how anyone could expect a scanner that uses hard coded naughty lists to be infallible. Also pickle files are, and always have been, horrible security concerns. Byte scanning doesn’t solve the fact that it can contain code that is executed on loading.

Picklescan flaws allowed attackers to bypass scans and execute hidden code in malicious PyTorch models before the latest patch.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

My printer is so old linux doesn’t support the tools needed to make it work. It is also broken. Maybe I should finally swap it for the one that works fine and is modern sitting next to it. But then I would be wasting the toner that is left!
