My mom has been calling me a lot and asking if what we’re doing is safe. And I have to be honest: we want to be smart, but it isn’t. We know that. That needs to be a gateway recognition here. Yes, there’s risk - but we are mortgaging a little of our own safety to provide a lot more to our neighbors.

Something I've been trying to impart on people is that the ICE occupation in Minnesota is both an ethnic cleansing and an ideological terror campaign. It's clear that the second part has utterly failed; the community is not terrified. But ICE is now desperately trying to salvage the first part.

If a non-citizen neighbor gets kidnapped by ICE, you supposedly have about 4-5 hours to file a habeas petition in Minnesota to prevent ICE from shipping people to Texas. They are moving people that quickly regardless of whether or not they have legal status.
