This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

I am stunned.

There was a little boy at the library who used to come in and chant “dinosaur! Train!” at me repeatedly.

I thought he was just listing his special interests. I have just been informed there is a show called Dinosaur Train. He was making a request.

I apologize for my poor service.

Walgreens was sold to a private equity firm in August, complete with financing from JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.

My guess is they're repositioning for resale.
Hourly Walgreens employees will reportedly no longer receive paid time off for six major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, after the pharmacy giant was acquired by private equity firm Sycamore Partners
Report: Walgreens cuts hourly workers’ pay for 6 major holidays
The hourly employees will only be paid if they work on those holidays.

Dispatch's success is well-deserved. Speaking personally, I'm happy that there's still a market and an appetite for Telltale-style games.

Hopefully this means that Season 2 will get greenlit! www.ign.com/articles/dis...

So I just learned now that Netflix's Ed Gein show literally regurgitated the "he's not a real transexual" narrative from Silence of the Lambs' Buffalo Bill (who was inspired by Gein) while still reifying the idea that gender nonconforming figures are dangerous killers. What a shit show. Literally.

Trump is propping up the fossil fuel industry to please Saudi Arabia.

***According to Trump.***
Trump: "I don't think Saudi Arabia would like me too much if we decided to kill oil and natural gas. There's nothing like it. It works. Windmills don't work. Other things -- I don't want to get it into too much -- but they don't work. What does work is natural gas, oil, nuclear, and other things."

This Trump judge recognizes that Trump has destroyed the Department of Justice.
The federal court that struck down Texas' redistricting plan says the letter from a Trump DOJ appointee that kicked off the whole thing is "challenging to unpack the DOJ Letter because it contains so many factual, legal, and typographical errors. "

Would like to make the suggestion (as a autistic) that the causes of autism are somewhere in the unreadacted Epstein Files.

I know this as we haven't ruled it out and the goverment hasn't pursued this. So we obviously need to release them all.

The HHS report on gender affirming care released it's updated report showing they stacked its authors with anti-trans hate-group affiliated members, several of whom aren't even doctors with any sort of clinical experience. They selected their own ideologically friendly peer reviewers.

It's a joke.

The UK is considering a policy that would effectively segregate trans people from society. It would bar trans people from "single sex spaces" even when they use the facility of their sex assigned at birth.

This is a full on policy of segregation without even the benefit of separate facilities.

I too do an obscene amount of fitness and it hasnt prevented anything. Putting my autoimmune stuff aside, I haven't been sick since early 2020 because of, guess what, masking at all times when I leave my house. Even when doing Stage 3 and 4 cardio for 1.5 hrs
I dunno, I've been running >120 km/week on a fairly regular basis since about 2013-2014 (on top of whatever functional walking I do) and this hasn't stopped me from getting both infectious and chronic illnesses. Masking post-2020 has meant I've only been infectious illness sick twice tho lol.
The only way to understand this is to realize that they are eugenicists.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

Please mask up and stop spreading COVID, in memory of Alice.
Respect Alice Wong’s call here:
“When I am in public spaces and see most people unmasked either because they think the virus is a hoax, that masking is virtue signaling & a sign of weakness, aren't thinking about it, or that they simply don’t care, I feel like an expendable burden not worth saving.”

I think this needs to be changed to "Anyone who has a miscarriage could face up to 30 years in prison under the bill"

and "Punishing miscarriages will result in many people dying"

and "We want to put 7-10% of the US population in prison for having a uterus."
Women who get an abortion and anyone who helps them could face up to 30 years in prison under the bill.

It appears to ban any contraception that prevents a fertilized egg from implanting. That would ban IUDs and could strictly limit in-vitro fertilization.

IUDs do not work by preventing implantation of a fertilized egg. This is wrong and a lie concocted to withhold highly effective long-term contraception
