Might be pretty fitting that, considering, he's got rid of the rats by the bird feeders.
The local tame Heron, came to say hi once again on the Camel Trail. I think we need a name for him, any suggestions?

Yea, I think every country pretty much have invasive species problems through misguided releases. We have lots of Ring-necked Parakeets, Canada Goose and Grey Squirrels that shouldn't be here and are causing problems.
A Grey Heron flying towards me, it amazes me the personality of these dino birds. Some are not bothered by me and others flee as soon as they see you.

Yea struggling here due to insect numbers plummeting and habitat loss.
Sure, you can take back the millions of Canada Geese in exchange 🤣
I've seen Golden Plovers and Lapwings do similar murmarations.
Where is UV? Utah? If so then no, only in the UK & Europe
Yea, they are struggling in their own homeland here, but flourishing where they shouldn't be.
They are pretty intelligent birds and can be taught to speak! Nice little story!
Yea, they are struggling here in their homeland. They could do with the population coming back over!
Yea, they are red listed unfortunately, not doing so well.
Starlings are one of Britain's most beautiful birds. With the right light and up close, the colours are amazing. Very underrated!

Don't think I could get any closer to a Heron. I made good advantage of the harsh shadows of the midday sun by stopping down a lot.
