There needs to be an effort to monitor for cases where lawful, 1A protected speech gets punished through even small administrative actions like denying enrollment in Global Entry or TSA Pre-Check. We already know that they have publicly slandered peaceful protesters as "domestic terrorists"
There was, in MN, a palpable, constant sense of fear that could even feel like paranoia from people engaged in civil resistance. Here’s why:

Chris Hayes "Can you outlast them?"

Just a reminder that both Ilhan Omar and Maxwell Frost have been attacked this week.

No outrage by right-wing media or even corporate media.

Now imagine if this were done to Republicans.

The entire system is rigged in favor of conservatives, folks. The double standards are just wild.

a lot of Democratic officials have asked the protesters to be careful to not "give Trump what he wants" and I think it's fair to ask them to do likewise

This is an example of a good thread from a Dem politician. Instead of platitudes, we're hearing about specific actions elected officials have/can/are taking.
I am. But there are three things at play here regarding ICE collecting private data. Quick rundown on the issue, why you should be paying attention, and what I'm doing about it:
So which politician is calling for the dismantling of the probably illegal database that ice & this government is collecting biometric data of protesters?

HOLY SHIT. Democrats now have a TWENTY-TWO POINT advantage on the general ballot. Dems had a 14-point advantage leading up to the 2018 election which netted us 41 seats in the House alone.

I can’t go to the grocery store alone right now because ICE is racially profiling and abducting people who aren’t white
Despite Trump’s promises, grocery prices are still rising fast. Families can’t afford this… when is he going to get serious about lowering costs?

This has to be one of the dumbest non-solutions I've ever heard in politics or policy. Incredible. Almost comical.

Completely misses the problem. Unworkable in the real world. Nobody invoved with the problem asked for it

No wonder so much of the Democratic base is turned off by our leadership
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

I’m thinking this morning about all the people I spoke to last year who were absolutely convinced, and tried to convince me, that Trump would be antiwar compared to Biden and Harris.

In the past week alone he has attacked Nigeria and then Venezuela and also threatened to attack Iran (again).

The Iraq War parallels are there but Trump has made no functional attempt to justify war or deposing Maduro, let alone make the case to get international support. Doing this without a fight leaf must create space for response by US allies & global governance bodies to condemn & demand accountability
