the “potentially fatal” dose of testosterone is due to the risk of red blood cell overproduction (it’s actually less risky in younger people than older people). but also doctors prescribe “potentially fatal” doses of things all the time! last time I had a chest infection I got 48 codeine tablets!
You might think from the headline that this is a story about a trans kid suffering medical consequences from a large drug dose but nope! It is just an interview with an estranged father who is angry that his child happily transitioned.
