The only acceptable Keynesianism to the Labour right is military / weaponised Keynesianism. Impossible to harness state capacity for jobs & infrastructure in eg the NHS, council housing, social care or education. But loadsa cash to funnel to arms manufacturers to build munitions that'll gather dust

So the same people who were saying that Starmer did absolutely the right think in not criticising Trump yesterday are now saying he is in doing absolutely the right thing in criticising Trump today...
I think it is intentional. You in the media want the story and the drama of the PM criticising the President and then the inevitable meltdown from Trump.

Delaying a day or two takes the heat away.

I can imagine that the PM wants nothing more than to tell Trump to go F himself.

This is obscene.

That others in politics can’t or won’t say that this is obscene hits at the heart of the problems we face.

It doesn't matter Comfortables look like massive hypocrites pretending to be upset that they got everything they wanted. They really don't care.

What we have to do is point out what their real goals are, what monsters they are. Because that limits their ability to do more harm.

As I said nearly a year ago
None of this is new. Anyone who's read Quillette, UnHerd, The Critic, or The Spectator over the last 4-5 years could have seen this coming. A huge ecosystem of people, some of whom call themselves centrist or even centre-left, have been preparing the ground for all this

Can we think of *single* example of our rights & freedoms increasing under this Labour government? Like, one [1] instance of our liberties expanding rather than contracting?

Never surprised by anything our police force does these days

[CN: child abuse]

Considering the vast majority of child abuse is done by their family, if you want to cut off children's information and communication routes, I will assume it's purely so you can better abuse your child

I have so many screenshots of Spectator headlines about the perfidious Jew that they half-heartedly edited after they realised after the fact crossed the line. Sometimes the edits don't make any sense. Like this one, for example:

The Spectator has done everything in its power to harm Jews, Muslims, Black and brown people and defend its fascists friends from criticism—it’s a perpetual hate machine. Therefore, naturally, every year the London elite attend its summer garden party to be photographed and do cocaine

Is there anyone who will stand against this awfulness? I feel like we’re just careening off a cliff and there’s no way to stop it

But it's much, much worse than this, isn't it. Starmer & co aren't just shuffling their feet awkwardly. They're actively pursuing their own evisceration of liberal democracy with gusto & while yes, some of this is to appease the Fash King in Washington, much of it is obv bc they *like* it

It is all leading to the conclusion that the eradication of Muslims and migrants is what guarantees a liberal society. Musk says it out right, Labour hint towards it.

AFAICS, so far not a single solitary fuck given about this from a big platform Reasonable Moderate. Total tumbleweed from your Goodalls, Bushs, Dunts, Freedlands & the other self appointed Guardians of Sensiblism
That's right! We should destroy human rights so that Keir Starmer can win* the next general election!

*Make it even more likely he'll lose by mainstreaming the far right politics he pretends to oppose
