They/Them

I have so many screenshots of Spectator headlines about the perfidious Jew that they half-heartedly edited after they realised after the fact crossed the line. Sometimes the edits don't make any sense. Like this one, for example:

(For non-Brits: what’s happening here is that the bad-faith wingnuts of Britain and their media friends have been shown over and over that they can get anything they want, if they all scream for it in unison. So now, they scream in unison for *everything* they want.)

The Americans told themselves they were undertaking "targeted" bombing, but the desire to not kill civilians was swamped by hatred of an enemy that would not surrender.

The atomic bombings were a tragedy, but you can't call Imperial Japan a victim either.

I've watched that video and having read a number of books on the topic, I don't think it's correct.

You can't paint the Americans as monsters when the Japanese enslaved Allied soldiers and butchered the people of Manilla. US soldiers at the time knew this, and it radicalised them.

Plus, "Zack Polanski is a grifter" isn't really as cutting an argument when the alternatives are Nigel Farage, Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch.

As is obligatory whenever Marina Hyde is brought up, please remember that when John McDonnell called Grenfell social murder she got extremely angry.

You were allowed to be upset about it but you certainly couldn't criticise her landlord chums.
