Yesterday a flock of about 30 American Robins passed through my yard. They seemed to be on a mission, with most flying rapidly by, all in the same direction. However, a few took a drink and a brief rest before rejoining their gang. #birds #birding #Bobsbackyard #Ancaster #HamOnt

As we get close to the end of the year I thought I'd repost some of my favorites.

These aren't in any particular order, but how could I not start with my absolute favorite of the Kingbird riding on the osprey while carrying a fish?

House Sparrows live here year round and they often nest in our yard. They are wonderful parents and are constantly hunting bugs to feed their babies. This female paused a moment while looking for bugs in the flowering apple tree!

I was taking the bins out today when I noticed a juvenile Eastern Spinebill in the garden. I rushed back inside to grab my camera and was happy to find the bird still there when I returned.

This morning I got the best in flight surf scoter shots of my life thus far. Great weird duck season for in flight shots!

A solid 20 other people near me, no one else ever tried.

We must organize more bird photographers to be down with the clown. 🪶
