The Trump admin has suspended basically all long-term immigration from Africa, even citizens' spouses, high-skilled immigrants, etc. Only reason they're exempting the Central African Republic, Kenya, etc is to maintain plausible deniability that this isn't race-based for SCOTUS
In the last six months, the administration has dropped three different, overlapping immigration bans based on national origin, each time more extreme and arbitrary than the last. As you can see these bans impact countries in every region of the world.

This. I am done returning to the status quo of what got us here. I want universal healthcare. I want a maximum wage tied to the minimum wage. I want omnipresent, cheap public transit and walkable neighborhoods. I want Supreme Court and police reform, and I want the rich to pay their fair share.
We need to pick up this Overton Window and throw it as far as we can. Stop waiting for shit to “be popular” and start advocating for what is transparently right.

No one in politics will acknowledge the fundamentals at work here: shifting job preferences—into sales, health care, "email jobs," etc.—are driven by a desire for comfort. Roofing, factories, farming, etc. are at once romanticized & dangerous or unpleasant. The first screencap is the "good" outcome!

ICE detained Arlit Maria Martinez on her way to work. 2 days later, her 15 yo son died of cancer. They wouldn't let her out to say goodbye. The family had planned to move back to Mexico prior to the cancer diagnosis but stayed for his treatment. Now, Mr Martinez has lost his wife to ICE & his son.
