15 years ago today I arrived on Downing Street in a cage.
I've seen off Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak and I'm still going strong.
Only two Prime Ministers have ever done longer stints here: William Pitt the Younger and Sir Robert Walpole.

The disagreement started with Graham’s comment Friday, “who gives a shit who owns Greenland? I don’t." Tillis responded, “who gives a shit about who owns Greenland? The 85,000 indigenous people in Greenland give a shit about who owns Greenland. And at the end of the day, we need to show respect.”
Top Republican lawmakers spar over Greenland
Without naming him directly, Sen. Thom Tillis appeared to fire back at Sen. Lindsey Graham over his comments on Greenland's sovereignty.

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

The Democratic Party is filled with ambitious politicians who lost their sense of urgency after Trump won.

Pritzker did not talk about authoritarianism like someone who was trying to fundraise (obviously) or get attention. He talked about authoritarianism like someone who is haunted by its ghosts.
What being a billionaire scion taught JB Pritzker about standing up to one
Few national Democrats have pushed back as forcefully against Trump’s authoritarian crackdown. There’s a reason for that.

FYI, Frederick Douglass predicted Trump back in 1867.

"there is a good reason why we should do away with the pardoning power in the hands of the President, that is that our government may at some time be in the hands of a bad man."

I seriously have no idea why it’s legal for Trump to sue constituents as President
President Trump's lawyers have told a court he shouldn't have to respond to lawsuits because it would distract him from running the government.

But he's found time to bring lawsuits of his own, against the New York Times and even against his own administration.
