Hoomum gives us a tablespoon of plain scrambly eggs with our meals to add extra protein, Omega 3s, & keep our coats shiny. She alternates w/diced, plain sauteed calves liver. We got extra today bc she felt guilty re the mini-walk. Holding out for 🥩! Slacker is still in her sweats & it's lunchtime! 😒

History is cyclic. Those movements, plus abstract expressionism, were reactions to socio-economic & political hardship, along with the run-up to WWII. Picasso's "Guernica" and Goya's "Executions of the Fifth of May 1808" are two excellent examples of visual art as social protest & visual journalism.

Depends on contract provisions & the union(s) involved. If the ensemble breaches the contract, the artists (musicians, actors, etc.) still have to be paid. Ensembles have to play a game of "chicken," hoping the venue cancels so they still get paid. Same thing re back & front-of-house employees.
