Greg Bovino sadly filling one steamer trunk after another with elaborate fashy overcoats, the teargas canisters he always has bouncing around on him like labubus, and dozens of "chest-belts." They will be shipped ahead of him as he prepares to return to his home, which is a men's size 10 boot.

No argument from me, but before we move on to screwing the next dickhead into the leader’s chair, can we pause and ask: how come Britain’s best paid politics-understanders spent over five years telling everyone who would listen this obviously weird dork was a shit hot political operator?

Two Thursdays ago, when i was teaching Alice Wong's "Disabled Oracle Society," i taught this new crop of student about the myth of Cassandra, and how Apollo's curse wasn't just that no one listened to her, but that the more she tried to make people listen, the more hostile they got. So.
All the anti-war and anti-occupation protestors were right. All the far leftists were right. All the “woke scolds” and your friend who’s “too woke” were right. They were somehow even more right than they may have realized at the time. But really, it was always obvious they were right.

A snippet of propaganda churning out from extremely influential far-right voices desperately trying to frame Minnesota as some wild chaotic place when it is being made chaotic by DHS instigating and attacking and desperately trying to goad well-disciplined Minnesotans into riots.

It's not the point of anything but every photo and video of Kash Patel is hilarious, he perpetually looks like a muppet that was just unexpectedly turned into a real boy by a malicious fairy and has no idea how to use a human body to blink or fart or breath or any of it.

the kids and the commies are always right, nobody ever listens to them and nobody ever learns a single lesson from being completely wrong about everything all the time because capitalism gives them headpats and belly rubs for refusing to change

I'm not having a brag about this coz I came to my conclusions via people who seem to know what they're talking about....but I do keep turning out to be right about things having been told "you're wrong, moron" for months and years beforehand. I didn't want to be right about Starmer, for example.

Putin pioneered predatory microtransactions in video games
Putin pioneered this. No opposition is legitimate. Regular, decent, “ordinary” people cannot possibly be against us because only we represent “the real people.”

Tell-tale sign of authoritarianism.

For non-Brits: Britain has a very odd formalised system where politicians are helped to anonymously insult and denounce each other, and generally hurl vexatious allegations and wreck each other’s projects. Yes, of course this empowers bullshit artists and shitehawks. No, it’s not clear what we gain.

It’s not that they don’t understand they are conga-lining us to fascism. They fully understand that’s what they’re doing: it’s McSweeney’s declared strategy. They know and they are just fine with it because they will retain their status, clout and careers: the only things that actually matter.

I love Starmerism, it's like "Uh no this guy can't be an MP because people like him. Only people everyone hates can be in Labour." It is so cool and smart.
NEW: Andy Burnham *blocked* from standing in the Gorton and Denton byelection. Of nine voting members on NEC group was 8-1 against him.

Rule of law (I don't mean law itself) is basically a consensual monopoly on violence. Once the monopoly has been seized by bad actors, all bets are off. Dems, Inc. is avoiding following this thought to its logical conclusion because they're either bought-out or scared shitless of their Tito moment.

People just get online and write the most startlingly classist thing you have ever seen despite the fact that our ruling class is foaming at the mouth racist, very wealthy, and having a nice time at the Spectator garden party.
you underestimate the amount of knuckle dragging racists in the English working class, these types of bastards are thick, believe any meme and have no morality sadly, they just need racism

It's true that when a government becomes tyrannical it is the duty of the citizens to overthrow it and form a new one. It's just that the people who have been saying it in my lifetime have been saying it in response to stuff like the existence of Hannukah, and Black people, and the Spanish language.
