“Small countries must tiptoe around the sensibilities of big violent nuclear powers or else they’ll get what’s coming to them“ is a bizarre kind of brain worms that often passes itself off as anti-imperialism.

Nearly always said by people from nuclear power bully countries like the US or Russia!
Now consider that if Ireland continues to more aggressively align themselves with western interests (which have a positively amazing record of respecting national sovreignty) what would an opposing power feel the need to do to that subordinate state?

It feels like the premise for a much more interesting hard sci-fi show being slowly drip-fed to me because the writers are assuming most of the audience are normies who won't see most of this stuff coming, all while I wanna slap Carol upside the head for not asking a million basic questions sooner.

Pluribus is driving me crazy because it's taking forever to get to basic things that would asked/answered/established within the first episode if this was a straight-up sci-fi TV show.
