What foods should you eat during flu season?

OMG!

Get your flu vaccine, wear a N95 in high risk situations and clean your air because food doesn’t protect you against a virus.

New study: “Even 20 months post-infection, CD8+ T cells remained 9.9% below baseline... Immune recovery varied by age and sex, with older adults and males showing prolonged lymphopenia... Our findings redefine SARS-CoV-2 infection as a condition of long-lasting immune compromise.” #COVID
“SARS-CoV-2 causes lasting immune dysregulation for over 20 months.”

Hey Siri, on average, how many COVID infections does a person have yearly? Do the math.

(Just kidding, Siri doesn’t like answering questions about COVID)

When most people say "during Covid" they mean "when we did infection control in schools".

"Not controlling the spread of disease at all" results in more illness than "doing something to control the spread of disease".

So of course it's "worse than Covid".

For me, a new phase of the pandemic began in May ’22, when I took more serious notice of troubling scientific studies that weren’t being reported by the media. It then dawned on me, like in a horror movie, that the government was going to simply nope out of COVID—& that everyone would follow suit.
Some say
this pandemic began
on November 30, 2019
as that was the day
of the first confirmed Covid case.

And some say
this pandemic began
on March 11, 2020
as that was the day
of the WHO’s pandemic declaration.

But I think all would say
this pandemic
has lasted far too long.

Today is World AIDS Day.

AIDS has killed 44 million people globally.

Over the years, we've learned that silence and stigma are huge contributors.

Yet, the State Department sent an email to employees stating “The US Government will not be commemorating World AIDS Day this year.”

Unvaccinated infants are the second most likely group to get hospitalized for Covid after older adults. Any effort to minimize the effectiveness for kids is evil.

This is bonkers. Absolutely bonkers.

What do you suppose happens when you start stripping people of the minimal support they get?

Hypothetically, let's say they're guilty. What then? You think they're going to be more lawful when they lose their accommodation?

Some vaccines like COVID and flu don’t stop completely stop infection.

But they do reduce the risk of getting infected and greatly reduce severe illness risk.

They are still worth getting.

Since they are not 100% effective it’s also wise to add another layer of protection by wearing a mask.

I have to wonder what the aim of health promotion is… if “most will get through whatever it is” is the standard of care.
