Dear new followers, thank you for following me but be warned: It’ll mostly be (sometimes profanity-laden) covid-awareness posts here.
I *will* try to post some art from time to time though.

This needs to happen: "Union leaders are not ruling out mass labour disruptions and other protests in the spring if the government continues on its current path."

This is how the labour movement can demonstrate relevance, by helping us all take power back from the oligarchs and the well-connected.
Unions, supporters rally in Montreal to denounce Quebec government policies | CBC News
Thousands took to the streets of downtown Montreal on Saturday afternoon to protest against François Legault's Coalition Avenir government and policies they say are eroding workers' rights.

La Presse reports that 36 of Gatineau’s 285 doctors are leaving the province. Another 53 are considering it.
So many people (myself included) have been on the family doctor waiting list for years.
The CAQ is going to cost lives.

There are so many folks in the Covid aware community that refuse to leave Twitter. I get it. That community is legit and I miss it sometimes.
But there’s no winning there. There is no point in advocating for change against a sea of bots.
The game is rigged in Musk’s favour.

The Last Jedi committed a cardinal sin. When the credits rolled, I actually forgot there was supposed to be another movie. Zero hype for episode 9, which was, of course, a dumpster fire.

Timeline cleanse.
I got a lovely note from a friend the other day, encouraging me to continue making art and putting it out into the world.

It’s sometimes difficult to feel like I’m contributing anything worthwhile with a few drawings when the world is going to hell, so it was nice to hear.
Latest work: #gigposter for the great Ottawa band Double Experience, for their show this Friday at Rainbow Bistro.
This was super fun to draw, and even more fun to print. Laying down that fluorescent pink ink was so satisfying.

Hey yo it’s frickin ILLNESSES because schools have not made their air safe to breathe during an ongoing airborne pandemic
Reported illnesses have tripled in some school districts. Some say mental health is a factor https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/school-absences-illness-mental-health-9.6988661

📢THIS!👇👇👇

STOP saying "if Covid was dangerous, the <insert formerly trustworthy governing body> would have told us".

No! These criminals incinerated every scrap of integrity, authority, ethics and morality they might have had when they abandoned Public Health for politics, profit and fame.
The elephant in the room is that any effective defence against COVID and other airborne pathogens will end the careers of today's public health and IPC leaders - their only hope to beat charges of negligence is the lie that it was never possible to do better.

They cannot afford a success.

Bing-fucking-o.
Yeah, it's like there's a style guide somewhere that says "If we mention the link between the increase in symptoms COVID causes and COVID, the public health leaders who said it was ok to let COVID rip will stop taking our calls. Just give them what they want"
November 23, 2025 at 8:23 PM
But acknowledging Covid as a huge factor would mean admitting that *gasp* Covid actually does affect kids!
CBC has been absolutely complicit in pushing mass infection and downplaying the damage done.
There is no such thing as an intelligent report on increasing school absences due to chronic illness and mental health issues that does not lead with a discussion of the out-of-control virus that causes chronic illness and mental health issues.

@cbcnews.ca has seriously weird biases about COVID. 🙄

This.
Vaccines help, but don’t stop vascular and neurological damage, among other things.
We have few tools remaining, but wearing a respirator works.
Your wellness routine should include taking precautions to avoid multiple covid infections that damage your immune system, hope that helps. 🌟💕

Especially the hard-left socialist kind.
Dear politicians & influencers, sorry but your maskless airplane selfies look cringe to me. They signal you're fine spreading airborne viruses to everyone trapped in a metal tube with you & normalize flying in a climate crisis

I have watched in horror for five years while the government and the media has casually talked about ‘only vulnerable’ dying it’s not ok. This is how the Overton window moved.

People on this platform whining about “covid isn’t over” folks while ignoring the impact of ongoing COVID infections is becoming increasingly common and very much unhelpful.
I get it. It’s tiresome. Doesn’t make it wrong.

(And they disabled quote posting, so screen grabs it is.)

And letting rip a novel virus that causes brain damage. I’m sure that has nothing to do with it. /s

On the one hand, it’s really a relief (and weird) that the usual back-to-school wave didn’t hit us very hard in this region.
On the other hand, it’s hard to convince people that Covid isn’t “over” when we’ve been in such a long (relative) lull.
