Die deutschen Medien versagen in ihrer demokratischen Aufgabe. Es ist ein Systemproblem. Es wird nicht gelernt. Es gibt keine Kritik aus dem System heraus. „Nicht alle Medien“ ist mittlerweile genau so überzeugend wie „Nicht alle Männer“

Für Medienschaffende ist der Umgang mit der extremen Rechten zugegebenermaßen nicht immer einfach. Aber ein Lifestyle-Interview mit Chrupalla sprengt jeden journalistischen Rahmen. Hier wird nicht nur eine Plattform geboten, sondern extrem rechte Politik aktiv normalisiert. 🤯

Im März muss die Regierung ein neues Klimaschutzprogramm vorlegen. Mir liegt ein Entwurf vor, der noch Lücken hat, aber schon zeigt: Damit kommen wir der gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen Klimaneutralität nicht näher.

GdP Sachsen nutzt KI generierte Bilder für eigene Narrative (Bild via @boschpolforsch.bsky.social). Es ist das erste Mal, dass ich solche Bilder von seriösen Stellen sehe, die Ereignisse so darstellen, dass sie besser ins eigene Bild passen. Das ist nicht gut, der DGB darf hier nicht schweigen!

Im #Iran wurden Anfang Januar wahrscheinlich mehr als 30.000 Menschen binnen zwei Tagen (!) durch Schergen des Regimes ermordet. Und unsere #CDU Innenministerin in Sachsen-Anhalt schafft es nicht mal, einen vorläufigen Abschiebestopp in diesen Terrorstaat anzuordnen. Das ist beschämend!

Displaced problems increasingly return in unruly and destabilizing ways. Hence, carbon societies are not only characterized by displacement, but by escalation - when displaced social/ecological tensions re-emerge as "feral eruptions" (Tsing) that undermine the very orders they helped stabilize.

In my contribution, I question P.Wagner's notion of problem displacement. It resonates with concepts of organized irresponsibility (Beck), externalization (Lessenich) and early industrial risk awareness.
Today, problem displacements no longer stabilize social order. Displacements tend to escalate.
