Just your friendly neighborhood trans activist from Brooklyn.

I've said Platner still had some appeal for me because his reddit comments looks like someone who grew over time...

But since he never got ahead of this, the only way I could get past this is if he takes off his shirt on camera and shows the tattoo has been removed or covered up.
Context: Graham Platner, the senate candidate for Maine was revealed to have a totenkopf tattoo (nazi SS symbol). bsky.app/profile/jane...
This whole time I’ve been talking about the Fetterman Particles radiating off this guy but it turns out they’re regular were regular ol’ Hitler Particles.

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

...Wait, isn't "No Kings" in of itself a demand?

Part of why the federal government is shut down right now is because the Dems are fighting to get rid of pocket rescissions. A protest against the imbalance of power in our government is pretty relevant at the moment.
It's because they can't realize that it's so much easier to have message discipline when you are being genuine.
genuinely wild the number of quote tweets that see this as an insult toward mamdani rather than as praise for his discipline and skill at translating personal charisma into political appeal
Zohran Mamdani is a trained performer who has an extremely disciplined and laser-focused ability to recite on-message talking points in response to any question, and yet voters overwhelming praise him as being especially "authentic" compared to other politicians. There's a lesson here!

Gotta block them all! Block early, block often!

If anything, this just made me more comfortable with the idea of an ex-merc in our Senate. Platner seems fuckin awesome.

There is someone on the debate stage who hates a certain religion and it’s adherence and that is Andrew Cuomo.

He has always been xenophobic towards Muslims. I, in fact, tried personally to get him to visit a mosque during his term in office and he would not.

Sex is cool, but have you ever heckled Andrew Cuomo for 10 minutes straight?

every Democrat (including McBride) who spread the baseless lie that trans issues hurt Dems in 2024 is contributing to this btw

the ironic part is the ads mostly harm trans people by otherizing and justifying state violence, actually harming not Democrats

a fake quote being attributed to zohran mamdani is igniting the pro-palestine left.

he never said arresting netanyahu would make him a trumpian fascist. that phrase was posted by an account known for using extreme rhetoric to accuse mamdani of effectively saying that as a result of him softening.
Another harebrained take from David Aipacman.

Next you'll try telling us that you don't know how to say Nick Fuentes when confronted with video after video of leftists dredging that motherfucker for filth.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Biden spent the last functional years of his life participating in trans genocide and arming and allowing Gazan genocide only to die on estrogen from what is ostensibly ass cancer nearly immediately afterwards. You don’t get poetic justice like this anymore
OK so the estradiol valerate I take is actually labeled for use in cis men for prostate cancer, so what are the odds that Joe Biden is taking the same stuff? apnews.com/article/bide... Biden Big Naturals could be a real thing if he lives long enough
Biden is receiving radiation and hormone therapy to treat his prostate cancer
Former President Joe Biden's treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer has entered a new phase.

It's not a shock collar. Every day now there are out if context clips on here going after this guy.

Well that sucks for you. I guess your party is going to keep losing then
I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

Chat, is it good that all the world's most powerful people are obsessed with the nazi jurist, Carl Schmitt?
Stephen Miller's insecurity over his height proves something:

Despite his grandstanding, he's truly a meek, insignificant, small man at heart.

Reuters photographer Jonathan Ernst noticed that Bondi flipped open a file during the Senate hearing and he zoomed in.

Inside were her crib notes for attacking the senators.

The GOP now practicing Cliff's Notes Fascism

In other words, under oath Bondi was purely a performance.
