...evidence suggesting that one of PLACE's current co-presidents, Yiatin Chu, supported Sam Lo being appointed to CEC D2. Now the evidence for that is fairly weak, but at the very least we can say that members of PLACE are comfortable asking for advice from a virulent racist.

So, some thrice failed wannabe local politician here in NYC is disingenuously weaponizing the LGBTQ+ community against the mayoral candidate with the best policy positions for our community. I want to take a moment to get some words out ahead of this in case anyone takes her seriously.

With permission of the mother of Onyx Cornish, my friends decided to host a vigil in honor of Onyx and Sammy, his beloved cat. We will be showing solidarity at 5 PM on the 21st of September at Stonewall National Monument. Flowers are encouraged; Red, pink, and black roses were Onyx's favorites.

CEC D2 meeting about halfway in. Maud, Allyson, and Charles just got up and left, denying quorum. They left because they didn't want to talk about their opposition to resolution 269. They oppose it out of transphobia.

What a fuckin farce.

1. Wow, good thing I'm using this as a learning experience; I didn't post the flyer for the rally itself!... or maybe I gave myself an excuse to post about the rally again! Who knows?
