God, I love the #BJD hobby sometimes. The "gender neutral" doll body I ordered just arrived, it's sculpted with a vagina detailed enough that any one of four optional magnetic penis parts can fit without sliding around. Someone had to conceptualize that. Someone had to sculpt it. It's beautiful.

@magicariot.com I feel like you should know, I'm about halfway through Full Bloom, and every time I come across a line of Hikari's dialogue I read it aloud to work on my breath capacity and sight reading. Very effective. Very, very fun.

One benefit to dropping Spotify, I have a bunch of music that just... isn't on there. I'm working through my OSTs, mostly Y2k shoujo, and like. Mermaid Melody, Ojamajo Doremi, Tokyo Mew Mew, I haven't heard some of these in years because they're not on Spotify. Can't wait to have my own library!

The doll collectors I follow on IG are talking about ICE en masse. So are the voice actors, so are the shoujo anime fans, so are the illustrators, so are the adorable kitties that didn't even used to acknowledge the humans behind their accounts at all. There's a shift happening.

I was thinking about it recently and, every single time I've taken a big hit to my career, it's because I cared about people and said so out loud.
So I guess my best career advice is don't care about anyone, stand for nothing, and be in it for yourself and only yourself.

I watch a lot of scam baiting on Youtube, it's cathartic. But after today's Pleasant Green video, I'm swearing him off for his frankly egregious use of genAI. It's kind of become his schtick in recent months, and better late than never, but I finally got fed up and left him a comment. Sigh.

Been practicing, so I can actually do this! I think I'm very good at taking direction and critique, and others I've worked with have confirmed the same. 😊
Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

Been practicing, so I can actually do this! I think I'm very good at taking direction and critique, and others I've worked with have confirmed the same. 😊
Denied vocational rehab services because they couldn't prove I actually have all the disorders my doctor says I do 🙃 Because she's not all those specialists from 15+ years ago who diagnosed me so she must not know. I tell voc rehab "I need help" and they take two months to say "says who, bitch?"

Yup. Used to love Dilbert as a kid, because it talked about the work my dad did and I felt smart for understanding the humor. Now, I carry exactly one joke of Scott's with me (he once described his shirt size as an "extra smedium"), and the rest of it feels bitter and gross in retrospect. Sigh.
