I ended up having MANY OTHER thoughts and questions re KPop Demon Hunters and its magic system. It had much potential, but it only scratched the surface and in fact was kind of jarring in its treatment of demons (they're redeemable; except no actually, kill them all?)

Finally saw K-Pop Demon Hunters. Cute and fun! Couple of observations:
- interesting there's a sing-along edition, and that people have suggested "Golden" for karaoke lately, when it seems to me that that's a damnably difficult song, vocally, for the average person to manage

I have been mainly existing on my spouse’s insurance and salary for years. When I started doing freelance editing, I made more within the first two years than I’d made in royalties from writing in 15 years. Neither is a big number though. (~$15k on the royalty total. Yup.)
almost every novelist you read who's not from the airport fiction or bestseller sections is working a full on day job, including multi-award winners and absolute legends, or they have a spouse or trust that supports them. virtually across the board. just normalize in your mind that's how it works.
I know we know this, but authors need to get better at talking about how they actually make their money. Stop pretending it's from the books.

Is there anything more useless than Pinterest’s content violation emails? “Here is a picture of the offending pin, so blurred you can’t tell what it is, and also a link to it, which doesn’t work because we suspended the pin. But I’m sure YOU REMEMBER the VERY BAD thing you pinned one time in 2015.”
