if you want a protein-y powder that's a FOOD, making it subject to FDA regulations instead of handwaving "supplement" nonregulation, try defatted peanut flour sold under brands like PB2 or PBFit. a quarter cup has 14-16 grams of protein, some fiber, & about 120-150 calories (on par with supplements)

altman is God's Own Blowhard, but you can see that he's already practicing language that he and his company will use to insist that "adults" who suffer loss or die as a result of chatGPT "relationships" will not have any liability claims.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

someone's gender is not elective, the same way your elderly family member's hip replacement is not elective, your hysterectomy for endometriosis is not elective, your more skilled repair of a facial cut is not elective. we all deserve to have healthcare outside of traumas and cardiac arrest.

no one has to do anything in order to be trans, but the way trans medicine IS treated should disgust us all, to be honest, because all human beings NEED medical procedures that are legally called "elective" by the disgusting, mortally dangerous u.s. healthcare system.

if you're out there and YOU'RE poor and cis, and you think trans people are not like you, statistically that's because the ones who work and shop and go to school and etc. around you are closeted. they aren't bourgeois. they're hiding in plain sight and, like you, trying to make a better life.

i work with well over 100 trans people a year in @queergamesbundle.bsky.social. plenty are not even at the point of being able to seek that modern medicine because they're poor, disabled, unsafe in their own lives. rx hormones are decades old & cost VERY little for the "right" (bourgeois cis) people

Transness is not bourgeois. This is a wedge idea dreamed up by some gleefully amoral think tank lobotomite to split trans people and make us fight each other. That we relay on modern medicine doesn't make us any more bourgeois than someone who needs antidepressants or cleft palate repair.

NOTHING is inherently wrong or bad about soy at all, for me it is a migraine trigger along with many otherwise harmless or even healthy things like chocolate, garlic, avocados, bananas, tomato sauce, &c &c -- this is my health challenge, never any statement about any of these foods for others.

this is my brand!! great reporting here. companies have capitalized on the protein fad & cultural fearmongering about protein for people who are plant-based or vegan. for me, non dairy, non soy, non animal protein has fiber & jumps a bunch of health hurdles. i hope orgain responds meaningfully.

it has brought some peace to my mind to just understand that celebrities are strange and their daily lives don't really resemble anyone else's. not saying they're all bad or anything because of this, only an unknown quantity i can't compare to anything i know about. they're different! it's freeing!
