The TA is not a professor. I point this out because it’s relevant, there is a major legal difference. The TA is a student and is also entitled to the same privacy as the student who complained. This is a major FERPA violation, the university shouldn’t even be really commenting publicly on this

i've still never used an LLM and i still have very little personal interest in trying any plain-language human-computer interface, but good fucking lord any time i argue with the kneejerk "AI" hater crowd it makes me reconsider just picking one up for a few minutes to spite them.

The fact that "hypnosis" has become one of the concepts regularly banned on adult websites makes me feel fully insane. We are truly living in the nightmare return of every Christian conservative moral panic we ever laughed at.

I'm so glad that every year, fire departments across the country have an excuse to film themselves incinerating a frozen turkey and then putting the fire out to warn people not to burn their houses down. It looks fun (the controlled version not the burning your house down)
There is a post circulating on Bluesky encouraging the moving of a frozen turkey straight into a pot of hot oil. We are combating this misinformation the best way we know how - through the power of dance music.

don't like the thing we (online transsexuals) do where once we decide someone is sufficiently bad, we start a libel cycle where one person cracks a joke and the next person takes that joke literally and now everyone thinks that a guy who said something stupid is actually definitely a sexual predator
