I know we're all focused on dragging Sean Duffy here, but the best thing in this alt text is referring to the governor of New Hampshire as "someone in a black outfit." It's what both New Hampshire and Kelly Ayotte deserve.

I imagine great singer-songwriters must face this kind of situation a lot:
Young Fan: My parents named me after one of your songs.
Black Francis of The Pixies: Oh, so what's your name? Like, Allison?
Young: Fan: No.
Black Francis of The Pixies: Cindy? Alec? Velouria?
Young Fan: Crackity.

Jim!
THREAD.

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.

We decided to call him Jim.

This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.

One of Jim's great skills is stretching. He is better at this than any other cat. People comment on it all the time when they visit our house.

"Holy shit, man, your cat is REALLY fucking good at stretching," they will remark,

"That's because he is orange," we will reply. "And because he's Jim."

I’ve been noticing more and more media outlets simply referring to people who use they/them pronouns with…they/them pronouns, rather than prefacing their pronouns with an explanatory remark (“Kai, who uses they/them pronouns, said…”)

Yes to normalizing this pronoun use.
