and both can be true: low approval ratings and a potential Dem landslide (presume *cough* other factors *cough* don't interfere). 2026 is sounding an awful lot like 2010 and 1994, when Republicans swept into power but only after quite a few incumbents lost their primary challenges.

Titan. But true, when it was flying past Enceladus, it hadn't flown by Titan 100+ times yet.

And besides, INMS contamination from Titan is unlikely but not ruled out last I heard.

So many great ways to observe the interstellar comet. It's tricky to see in this movie, but it's there. As the comet gets closer to the Sun, PUNCH, a solar corona imager, will make daily observations. As the PUNCH data pipeline gets better (it's a new mission) this data will improve. 🧪 #planetsci

Rosetta OSIRIS-Wide Angle Camera view of Comet 67P taken during a far excursion on April 11, 2015. When this image was taken, Rosetta was located about 140 km from the comet's center, at a 90 degree phase angle, allowing the spacecraft to observe a half-lit comet.

The day side of the comet experiences intense outgassing activity, forming the bright jets of gas and dust that face sunward. The material in these jets eventually spreads out into a diffuse cloud called the coma. The presence of the coma allowed Rosetta to observe the comet's shadow.

This image uses HDR to bring out details of the comet's jets without overexposing the comet's surface. The jets are much fainter than the comet's surface, and are barely visible in a properly exposed image.
