And this is why. As much as I will work? As much as this directly impacts me ?

I understand why Black people are tired and if they don’t want to do this anymore

The reason we are here is because people don’t care, don’t listen, don’t repair and STILL haven’t changed

And, again: Why? Overwhelmingly to seize people with no criminal records and/or who are in the country legally. It's not only heavy-handed, it's also almost entirely gratuitous.
It’s hard to accurately describe what is happening in Minneapolis without sounding crazy.

Unmarked rental vans all over the city, with people in military gear and no id jumping out of them to take captive anyone who looks nonwhite or who makes political speech they disagree with.

It disgusts me that large swathes of the media will not speak up for these men, their murdered colleagues.
A producer in the London bureau is the *only* CBS person quoted in their story about Israel killing its longtime freelance cameramen in Gaza—someone who once filed dispatches for them from an ambulance, while wounded.

Not quoted: The network’s editor in chief.

Reporters, if you wrote about learning loss due to covid school closures, you can write about learning loss due to state terror.
I am not being snarky. I need my colleagues who wrote on covid school lockdowns to engage with this. To be as loud as they have been about prior "learning loss." Hell, you can cite Tom & Mark's AERJ paper so you feel better that there's some econ somewhere in your argument.

This is one of the hardest articles I've ever read. Remember when I said a couple days ago that these communities are small, people know each other — and yes, one person or family gone makes a difference?

The @pressherald.com tries to tell us about the Mainers detained by ICE so far.

MAGA and ICE don't have the numbers.

Yes, they have power, money, and the government.

But they don't have the people.

Every week, they are hated more and more and radicalizing white folks, veterans, independents, and conservatives.

I had my door destroyed by police once. My next door neighbor and I had the same name (mailman hated us both). They wanted him, they got me. A half second later thru the door and I would have killed at least one of them, my sidearm was already at my fingers. It was expensive to fix. They didn't pay.
Yep, smashed car windows cost hundreds of dollars to repair. A home's entry door that has been smashed by ICE thugs with a battering ram can easily cost over $1000 to repair. The ICE thugs also routinely keep expensive phones and laptops.

Assault and theft by armed thugs is Trumpism at work.

I strongly disagreed w/those who portrayed Trump’s backtrack on Greenland as a “nothingburger” or a win; as if he’d won some PR war.

On the contrary, the outcome showed the value of COLLECTIVE ACTION from rational Western leaders.

Maybe instead of identifying specific ICE agents who do particularly heinous things, we could just penalize everyone who was on payroll at the agency starting by a certain date.
