My dad took us to the hall of fame in 95 for the Schmidt induction and I made him buy me a Blue Jays cap (I was 6 at the time and did not know anything about baseball) I only now understand the heartache I must have caused him

My only beef with him this year in the playoffs was about putting Kerkering into a dirty inning but that goes to a level of confidence he has in his players they can defy evidence. Which is an intangible that has often worked in his favor throughout his time in Philly
