Liverpool should make Real an incredible offer in January: Slot and Salah for Xabi and Vini Jr.
Intersection that Real Madrid are struggling big time in La Liga .. Alonso job is on the line, my guess one more loss, and he is done, might as well against City in CL.

Have a feeling that next summer we will see another round of managers moving in circles and taking each other's jobs

There is the possibility LFC gave him a giant two year contract knowing they could sell him to a Saudi club if his performance slipped and the team could not carry him. And that may still happen but just sooner than we thought and sooner than the club maybe planned. Better than losing him on a free.
Losing Trent and Salah for nothing in the same summer would've been a nightmare, especially after the latter had the season of his career, but the new deal looked odd as soon as we signed Wirtz and moved for a pure No9.

Tom Hicks was the quintessential private equity sports owner. He bought the Stars, the Texas Rangers, and Liverpool FC, loaded them up with debt, pissed off stakeholders, and either sent the teams to bankruptcy or was run out of town on a rail. www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/...

Honestly with Conor back, Jeremie close, and the schedule easing up after Inter, I would start Joe next to Virgil until January. Then revisit (especially if you also buy a new center back).

If Slot had courage, he would have Mo as the player for the press conference ahead of Inter game.

Has he been fired yet?
Any time now, LFC.
Liverpool need to fire the set piece coach today. Now.

Hugo should be the main striker going forward while the rest of the issues are sorted out.
December 6th, 23rd game of the season

And Hugo Ekitike is the first Liverpool player to score more than once in a game in all competitions this season. #LFC

When I got tickets for the game against Brighton, I did not think that I might be seeing Mo’s last game as a Liverpool player. 🥲

Honestly Liverpool need to move from Konate. Too many brain dead mistakes at the wrong times. The periods he is good are not worth the moments when his brain turns to mud. Joe next to Virgil for the next month and a new centerback in January. If you want to rescue this season.
The complex bit with Konate is that he was genuinely good today until the penalty
He's like Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde and transforms in an instant
Like most of the squad, confidence is fragile
First 70 was one of our best displays of the season IMO. Composed, stingy, some nice football, individuals looking more confident. Then Konate Konate’d and it was 25 mins of largely brainless basketball.

Slot basically said in his presser this morning that the last two games he intentionally dialed back the attack to try to keep clean sheets. Worked at West Ham and almost worked against Sunderland. Probably going to see the same the next two games. Gonna be sufferball whether fans like it or not.
December 5, 2025 at 12:10 PM
You can see where they won the league title last season and then started the squad turnover.
In case anyone is wondering if it's a case of the attack being less potent or the defense more porous, may I present:
